| I've also tried to launch Future Pinball from EO5 but for some strange reason it refuses to work. I remember having it working on EO4.
I've never tried arcaderender, but seems only adding the parameter is needed. Have you tried launching Future Pinball as administrator? (if using Vista or newer)

| Hey all, this bat file works for me in case people want to add visual pinball roms via .bat:
@echo off cd "R:\_Pinball\Visual Pinball\Tables" start vp.exe "R:\_Pinball\Visual Pinball\VPinball914.exe" -Play -"Seawitch(Stern)(1980).vpt" exit
This is one which works for Future Pinball:
"FuturePinball.lnk" /open "Strato-Flite (Williams 1974).fpt" /play /exit
In order to use cabinet mode in future pinball you have to add /arcaderender to the shortcut which is why I have "FuturePinball.lnk" instead on exe...

| Hey mgtroyas, I can get Future Pinball to the editor by double clicking on a Future Pinball Table but the biggest problem is the arcaderenderer switch; I can't get the tables to associate with a .lnk so they keep opening with the regular exe. The arcaderenderer switch allows the tables to be run like the visual pinball tables (in cabinet mode). I was wondering if maybe I could add the switch withing EO? Here is the working bat file I'm using:
"FuturePinball.lnk" /open "Aloha fixed.fpt" /play /exit
Do you know how this would translate into adding a commandline within EO?

| It's just this:
"R:\_Pinball\Future Pinball\Future Pinball.exe" /arcaderender
It's the /arcaderenderer switch...Thanks a lot! Mgt!
I'm also working with getting a second monitor to display. If you get the time could you take a look at my other topic? I'm making decent progress with it and it may help development with getting images assigned to a second monitor such as marquees and covers. GameEX does this but I'll explain it all in my topic on the subject...

| Hi will, I was having problems with .net 4.5. I uninstalled it and installed dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe (48.1mb) and that fixed my error. I'm running EO version 5.2.059. Please report back if this works... | |

| I used Microsoft Event Viewer to figure out it was .Net which was giving me the problem. Use Windows Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, then Application and there will be an error. Click on the error and it'll tell you what is going wrong with EO...Hope that helps | |

| thank you for these reports for compresed rom list view, I thing you found solution for this so it's small thing we can fix but there is work around for it, if your console icon is small , just click over empty position inside consoles panel, you should see two blue arrow and slider, use that slider, the last size problem need to be fixed soon

| Thank you for the explanation, that solved my problem with the icons except the sega cd icon still looks wrong but I'm assuming that's because it's an irregular shape and it looks like EO forces square icons.
And yes, since I found a work around to view all files in a compressed archive it's not a high priority bug but I figured I would report it none the less.
Thanks again for your help!

| I figured I would post this, it's a minor bug but just wanted to make sure you were aware of it. When you click on a game the video starts if you click on a different tab i.e. the title tab then click back on the video tab it shows the below image instead of the video. You can still hear sound though just not see the video. | |

| Another item to report: Correct behavior: if you don't have any files saved in the manual or screen / title shot sections and press the red X (delete) button, nothing happens. Bug: if you don't have any files saved in the videos sections and press the red X (delete) button, a message will pop up stating "Are you sure?" if you select yes you get the below error message. If a video is not present it should follow the manual or screen shot behavior listed above i.e. nothing should happen instead of this error firing. - Code:

| great work oden we'll fix these bugs right now the next version is ready and I am testing it now, it contain major fixes and slight improvement ,we decide we need new core for eo to implement bigger feature in better way,if we implement it in eo 5 these mean effort take two month of hard work because then we need to destroy lot of code, we better create new clean core as we have much better programming skills now, if things goes right eo 6 come in less than 3 months | |

| Hey all! I'm having trouble running the new version. I have both the 4.0 dotnet and 4.5 versions installed. Whenever I try to run a rom or bat file without "Emulator" or "Commandlines" chosen I get a dotnet error and then EO shuts down. I need to be able to run bat files and that means not choosing either of those options. This worked for me in previous versions. Another error is when I boot EO I get this error message: "The procedure entry point I_RcpBindingSetPrivateOption could not be located in the dynamic link library RPCRT4.dll" If I click ok it works but that is an annoying message to have to click through everytime I start EO. Here is the error report for when EO crashes running bat files: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception | Hi logan5 The latest version of EO *5.4) has known problem launching rom without both (emulator\command line) buttons enabled,AHD currently busy with new EO so no coming fixes coming soon,you can use "open rom location" and double click over bat file ,but it should not give you error message,try to fully update your os, this may fix dotnet error,you can also try to reboot your system,one important thing, EO need administrator privileges ,make sure EO is allowed to run as admin,you also have to check your antivirus to see if it block EO try to delete all directory inside this dir C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\AHD I hope it work for you Best regards Croser
Edit: AHD has uploaded hotfix,this should fix this problem and video handling tab:D , if the problem persist, try to follow above method and post here we hope it's work for you

See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

| I've noticed that any images displayed in EO are softened when "stretch to fit" or "stretch if larger" options are chosen. When viewed in Windows photo viewer, the image is more sharper. (when I zoom in)
Can an option be added to not soften the image?
Also, if possible, could the video controls be hidden, and only be displayed when you mouse hover over the video window?

"The procedure entry point I_RcpBindingSetPrivateOption could not be located in the dynamic link library RPCRT4.dll"
If I click ok it works but that is an annoying message to have to click through everytime I start EO. The hotfix fixed it last time but it's back...

1/ Bug 1 : when you select “Add link” and enter this value '[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]' with user input form a pop-up saying “unhanded exception has occurred” when you select this link
System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The host name could not be parsed.
see in your you code :
//----------------------------------------------------
class ICControl_Links : ICControl ........ void ViewLink(string link) { .... browser.Url = new Uri(link);//generate parsing error if link=http: ... } //-----------------------------------------------------
when this invalid link was created it's also hard to delete it because delete function is called after void ViewLink ...and the application crashes
create statement that handles this exception ... ...
Hi, actually this situation is not handled probably, when I wrote this code I forgot to add more codes to check for invalid links. When Links control created, I didn't test it well and focused on other important controls. Thanks for the fix, I'll apply it as soon as possible. - GrosDams wrote:

to fix the bug in your code see: void toolStripButton1_Click()
Error : you use the variable 'romItem' define in your class private InformationContainerLinksItem romItem ,instead of a local variable in the procedure,
so just create local variable and it's (seems) ok …. i'm trying this code but it's certainly a bad code ,i'm a newbie programming

if (base.Rom.IsICItemExist(container.ID)) { Item = ((InformationContainerLinksItem)base.Rom.GetICItem(container.ID)); etc....
i just applied and followed the same logical of your program (ref: ICControl_xxx )
Oh my god, this is a major bug , the romItem object never changed during rom switch so when you add links to any other roms, the links will always added to the same rom, the first rom you add links for. romItem should set to null in the moment when the rom get changed. Actually you're more than newbie to me lol it's not about reading the C# code, I'm impressed that someone could read and understand this mess - GrosDams wrote:

I don't know exactly what's the problem, I guess it's about some component not installed probably. I suggest you reinstall these requirements for EO: Direct X latest version from Microsoft .net framework 4.5 from Microsoft Adobe Reader Adobe Shockwave Adobe Flash player Emulators Organizer doesn't use any other component but the listed above. .Net Framework may uses other components that it's not installed probably on your pc. Emulators Organizer tested on fresh install of Windows XP, Windows 7 and 8 and it's work fine after installing the requirements. Also you may want to install this: Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Hope this help. If the problem remains, I suggest you contact Microsoft support.

| hi, when you select :
Delete Rom with this option : Delete related files too
this exception occurs : System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'AHD.EO.Base.RomDataICItem' to type 'AHD.EO.Base.InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem'.
code : File :Frm_Main.cs procedure :void DeleteItem(object sender, EventArgs e)
case 1: when you Remove files from console:
private void DeleteItem(object sender, EventArgs e) { switch (activeType) { …. case SelectedType.Roms: ... foreach (InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem icItem in item.Rom.ICItems) { foreach (string icfile in icItem.Files) {
but the icItem type is not always equals to : InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem the list (InformationContainer) ICItems can contains also information on : InformationContainerLinksItem InformationContainerYoutubeVideoItem (links And youtube video )
I 've tried this code to enumerate the files that are contains in InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem
foreach (InformationContainerItem infoCItem in item.Rom.ICItems) { if (infoCItem is InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem) { InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem icItem; icItem = (InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem)infoCItem; foreach (string icfile in icItem.Files) {
And works fine for me
I also tested : case 2: when you Remove files from playlist: and I have found the same issue
there are others references in your code where the elements list is iterated with InformationContainerFilesInFolder (it works if all elements type is equals to InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem) but I haven't test them...
please note that in my last post I was referred to void : ViewLink(e.Node.Text); and not CheckedLink(e.Node.Text) ?;

thanks for sharing a+ Hi, In EO, there are: * InformationContainer: this object is set into collection within the project, to tell EO what information containers that project include. For example, we add InformationContainer for Images like snapshot to the project. * InformationContainerConsoleItem: this object added to a console to link the console to an information container previously added to the project. Not used and may not necessary. * InformationContainerItem: Added in the rom, each rom can have collection of InformationContainerItem, each InformationContainerItem contain data of information container in the project. For example, for snapshots information container, the rom must include InformationContainerItem that contain the snapshot file paths in order that rom display snapshots in the snapshots tab. The point is, there are different types of InformationContainerItem: * InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem: contain file paths, used by image, info, video...etc information container. * InformationContainerYoutubeVideoItem: contain video link and info for youtube information container. * InformationContainerLinksItem: contain the link for links information container. * RomDataICItem: contain data for data information container. So when you delete rom, you search for all InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem items within that rom, to delete all possible connection between that rom and the information container that may have files like images, info, videos .....etc and this called related files. foreach (InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem icItem in item.Rom.ICItems) { foreach (string icfile in icItem.Files) { This code should only give us the InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem items form the collection, but it seems we need to add check code instead like this: foreach (InformationContainerItem icItem in item.Rom.ICItems) { if (icItem is InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem ) { foreach (string icfile in ((InformationContainerFilesInFolderItem)icItem).Files) { you know, you looks like a very good programmer and may help us a lot with EO. I'm very busy with other projects so I barely work on EO. I'll be glad to have you as a member of the project contributors in Sourceforge host, interesting ? EO uses SVN system, you can post your work directly to the host without problems. The project host: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]If you interesting, give me your member name in sourceforge and I'll add you ASAP.

| Hi,
sincerely... I hate the false modesty but there is no talent here … two errors where found by the debbugger and about the last one , i just debug the item value found in “all your ICControl_xxx “
I was lucky ,these bugs are not so big
I would be pleased to join you for some suggestions/issues on bugs,but I can't help you for programming new tools and features . I've been learning c# for 4 months with few basic knowledge in VB. I code occasionally .And when I code it's often to manage a simple repetitive task on files.
so it's true, I’m not a newbie in programming but,at most, an advance beginner.
And when I try to read your code ,i know there is a very long way to go before i can code like you.
so if you want someone who just test your code I'm ready

| welcome to our team GrosDams, I'm very happy and this is the first time we have new member since EO first launch,reading our code and get what behind line is more than enough for what we need to improve EO and prove you 're talented programer, it's not always the code shape is important,but the job it do,take example mynes project, it was coded with mono c#(smple) and it's second best nes emulator on the world we don't want to add new feature or tools, but we need to improve EO by testing existing and future release more deeply and eliminating existing unseen bugs, I used to test previous EO by simple use but that not guarantee free bugs release, now with you we could achieve more better EO release
now go to sourceforge and register there(if you don't already) and give me your member name in sourceforge and I'll add you ASAP.

a+ Hi, EO 5 is no longer under development, I'm working on version 6 which is completely different from version 5 compared with structure and coding. I won't upload the version 6 source into SVN until I make sure it work basically. So for the mean time, we need someone to fix version 5 issues and bugs, just to keep users up to date. If you're interested, you're welcome to the project, no need for new features or tools .... Fixing bugs and improving things in EO 5 will be more than appreciated. EO 5 is huge project, it took us a long time to become as it is. A lot of issues and bugs are here and there, we just don't have time for finding them all although we used to fix issues that EO community told me about. You are welcomed into version 6 once it released, we can use your talent with it too

| Issue in EO v5.4.125.0 (I'm afraid that this problem will move into EO v6). If use "get name and data from database" roms, whose filenames contain "[...]" (not all (!)), do not accept the values of variables from "*.ini" files For example: "[Meteor Run (1982) (UMI) (PAL) [a] [A000] [multipart] [one part missing]]" - failure "[MG Slot IV (19xx)(-)[b][req turtle basic][16k]]" - failure "[Meteor Run (1982) (UMI) (PAL) [6000] [A000] [multipart]]" - good import "[Meteor Run (1982)(UMI)(PAL)[6000]]" - good import "[Meteor Shower (1982)(UMI)]" - good import | |

| Hi Everyone! After a reinstallation of Windows 7 Home Edition 64bits, I installed everything to run properly EO 5.4.125: adobe reader, flash player, shockwave, net framework 4.5 and 4.5.1, even visual c++ 2010 and 2012. And with the zip file or the exe, it crashes! I suppose it's a net framework problem... So I give up for now and I'll wait for the next version! | |

| Hi EO community! Just a simple question: how do you manage multiple disc games inside EO? One entry per disc (for exemple FF7 Disc 1, FF7 Disc 2, FF7 Disc 3), or one enty for the whole set (for exemple FF7 Disc 1-2-3) with command lines to select the disc you want to use? If does not exist yet, it will be a great feature. P.S. EO 5.4.125 works now, ignore the (old) post above.^^ | |

| One entry per disc, but a feature like you suggest would be even better. | |
